Vehicle Validation Engineer

What you can expect
- Plan and execute vehicle testing (including mechanical, electrical, and functional testing)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test criteria and specifications for Vehicle Validation
- Develop and implement test plans and procedures for Vehicle Validation
- Prepare HW and SW setup for Vehicle testing, including flashing and parametrizing
- Conduct various tests on vehicles (standstill and on public roads in Romania and abroad) to validate performance, durability, safety, and compliance with regulations
-> in collaboration with Function Performance Test Team - Analyze test results, identify and report issues, propose solutions for improvement.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Prepare and present test reports to stakeholders, including management and engineering teams.
- Participate in requirement and design reviews and provide input on validation requirements.
- Stay updated with industry trends (e.g. competitors) and regulations related to vehicle validation (e.g. GSR, NCAP)
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies.
- Ensure that the project is developed according to Magna quality standards (ASPICE compliant) Support system integration and testing activities
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in vehicle validation or testing, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, functions, and integration.
- Proficiency in using test equipment, tools, and software for data acquisition and analysis.
- Knowledge of testing standards and regulations (such as ISO, SAE, and NCAP).
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey test results and recommendations.
- CAN related and Vector tools experience (CANalyzer, CANoe), also SPI, Eth, UDP
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to find solutions to optimize testing effort
- Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment
- Self-driven and proactive working style
- Willingness to travel (test sessions in Romania and abroad)
