What you can expect
Join the Global Product Safety & Security organization as Senior Technical Cyber Security Manager within Magna Electronics. Within the group, we are responsible for driving process development and deployment, group wide training initiatives, confirmation measures and supporting engineering communities across the two disciplines of Product Safety and Security in all of our product areas. As a senior cyber security technical manager, you will lead a small team of engineers to implement these objectives at a global level to ensure cybersecurity is integrated successfully throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive standardization & re-useability of technical security approaches for Magna Electronic products. Work with reuse team to build a standard library of reusable assets.
- Stay current with emerging security trends, threats and technologies to enhance the security robustness of our products.
- Lead development phase product security engineering process and method definition.
- Support projects with implementation of key management system in cooperation and serve as interface to IT/OT security.
- Develop strategy for technical security services such as external Pen-Tests and be the interface towards product areas.
- Support resolution of independent cyber security escalations with risk assessment and intervention for all product areas
- Support Product areas and Sourcing area in evaluation of cyber security suitability of sourced components.
- Support harmonization of safety and security interfaces/overlaps ensuring safe and secure products.
- Assist in definition of required cybersecurity training for engineering roles.
- Support the global Product Safety & Security leadership team in defining the overall strategy for safety and security, aligning it with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Foster a vibrant Safety and Security community within the organization by facilitating knowledge sharing, collaboration, and best practices among practitioners.
- Promote a security-conscious culture across the organization.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, computer science, engineering or related field. Advanced degree or certifications in cyber security are preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive product cyber security role.
- 2+ years of experience in people management or leadership role
- Expert knowledge of product Cyber Security (ISO21434)
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of product cyber security concepts, threats and controls
- Ability to present complex topics to senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborative and service-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role. Leading a global team is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a global environment and to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills to all internal and external interfaces
- Positive attitude and self-motivated under diverse working conditions
- Comprehensive knowledge of English (verbal and written) is required.
- Ability to perform product cyber security assessments is a plus
- Experience in building a new team is a plus
